Matthew’s Journey
YFC is a place where student’s find belonging. Their presence is celebrated with us.
Have you ever been overlooked? Made fun of? Cast aside? We hope not.
But if so you are not alone. Many of the students at Campus Life have no where to belong. They are on the margin and rarely celebrated.
The students who attend our weekly programs do so not for games and food, but to be seen and known there.
Matthew joined us two years ago and developed a strong relationship with with his leader. He found a home at Campus Life. His presence is celebrated here and therefore takes advantage of all the events and trips we offer.
Matthew was not a church goer. He had never been until joining Campus Life. Although he did start attending church with his leader he was not ready to follow Jesus. Each time we presented the gospel he declined the offer to follow Christ. He knew it meant changing and said "laziness" kept him from following.
However, today we can stand in celebration. Because after 56 weeks of club, 10 building times and four overnight camps Matthew made the decision to be a follower of Christ! We are excited to continue walking alongside Matthew and support him in becoming a strong man of God.
