Campus Life: An Inside Look

Why Campus Life?

We believe Campus Life is effective in reaching middle school and high school teens in their world. It gives us a strategic way to pursue every young person at local schools in communities all over the USA.

What is Campus Life?

Campus Life ministry combines healthy relationships with creative programs to help young people make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools. Like every ministry of YFC, Campus Life seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as life-long followers of Jesus Christ.

What is 3Story?

Campus Life focuses heavily upon relational evangelism. We teach and model “3Story.” 3Story is a way of life that guides followers of Christ to BE good news while telling stories of THE good news. It is natural, friendly, and freeing – as you abide in Christ, His love flows through you to others as you journey together.

How does Campus Life work?

Relational Ministry Actions

Campus Life ministry sites uniquely practice loving relationships through the balanced combination of six Relational Ministry Actions aka RMAs:

  • Club

Meeting with a large group of kids in a safe, high energy, non-Christian friendly setting to talk about relevant topics and connect them to God’s truth.

  • Small Groups

Meeting with several students to have an interactive discussion about topics that are relevant to their lives and connect them to God’s truth.

  • Appointments

Meeting with kids one-on-one in a public environment to focus on their individual needs and answer their questions.

  • Building Times

Fun events where Campus Life leaders spend time with students to build new relationships and grow existing ones.

  • Contacting

Entering into the teenage world by spending time at their places of congregation to enhance existing relationships and initiate new ones.

  • Student Leadership

A team of Christian teenagers with adult coaches who together, follow Jesus in a way that naturally invites friends to discover Jesus with them.

Campus Life knows that adolescence can be the best of times and the worst of times, and it is always a pivotal time in a young person's life. That is why Campus Life is…

  • Relationally Based

Campus Life has found the importance of shared experiences between a student and caring supportive adult are indispensable. This is why we place the primary focus on relationships and not programs.

  • Holistically Balanced

Campus Life is committed to helping students as they wrestle with issues they face, both big and small, while pursuing a balanced life: mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

  • Individually Focused

Campus Life knows the journey of adolescence is different for everyone. We are committed to coming alongside students and meeting them where they are in order to help them navigate these years.
