Inside Their Stories

“Brianna’s” Story

Pain. Brokenness. Abandonment. But there is always hope.

We met Brianna in 2016. Please pray for her as she has recently returned to us but is wavering in her faith and making poor choices.

Written in August 2018:

“Brianna” is in 8th grade this year and the first 13 years of her life she has already faced challenges that many of us are blessed to only have to sympathize with.

Hearing the story of her broken home which was seeping with drugs and lacking affectionate love made her the perfect candidate for YFC Camp.

Her understanding of the Gospel was limited.  Although she attended church regularly it was not to learn about Christ.  It was to escape the constant fighting  and harsh language of her home.  She caused trouble at youth group and would rarely participate appropriately.

Brianna accepted Christ into her heart last year and has made strides to forgive herself and others.  Her mother has made comments as to the changes she has seen in her daughter; which is remarkable that Brianna is now being noticed.  However, I am confident that it is Christ who is being noticed by her family, Christ who is now living in Brianna.

Pray that Christ would pour out of her and into the lives of her family members who desperately need Him.

2022 Update:

Brianna’s mother reached out to us in desperation due to Brianna’s actions. She is sexually active, mixing drugs with medications and is getting in physical altercations. We shared the Gospel with her again and are praying she returns to Christ.

We know if is not easy to break cycles of drugs, violence and pre-marital sex. But with God all things are possible. Pray she comes back to Campus Life. Pray she returns to youth group. Pray she surrenders her life to the will of Christ.
